Terms of service

Effective November 5, 2026

These terms apply to your use of StaffClock: the phone app, the StaffClock HR website and this public website (together, "the service"). By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you use the service on behalf of a company, you agree to them on that company's behalf and confirm you are authorized to do so.

Accounts

  • Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • A company's managers control who in their company can use the service and what access each person has.
  • Tell us right away if you think someone has used your account without permission.

Your company's information

Each company owns the information it and its staff put into StaffClock, such as employees, buildings, hours and pay. The company gives us permission to store and process that information only to provide and improve the service, as described in our privacy policy. The company is responsible for having the right to enter that information and for telling its staff how it is used.

Hours, pay and payroll

StaffClock helps record hours and prepare figures such as overtime and gross pay. Companies remain responsible for reviewing and approving hours, for paying their staff correctly, and for meeting wage, hour, tax and record-keeping laws. StaffClock does not give legal, tax or payroll advice, and payroll exports should be checked before they are used.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service. For example, don't:

  • log hours that weren't worked or change records to mislead;
  • try to access another company's information or someone else's account;
  • interfere with, probe or overload the service, or try to get around its security;
  • use the service to break the law or to send spam or harmful content.

We may suspend access that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk.

Fees

Pricing and payment terms for companies are agreed separately in writing. If a written agreement with your company conflicts with these terms, the written agreement applies.

Changes and availability

We work to keep StaffClock available and to improve it, and we may add, change or remove features. We may occasionally need to pause the service for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

Ending use

A company can stop using StaffClock at any time and can ask us to export or delete its information. We may end access for a company or user that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.

Disclaimers and limits

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties such as merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount the company paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let companies know before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
